September 10 is our meeting will be held at National Restaurant Supply and it also happens to be our next Mystery Basket Chef Competition, MBCC. The goal with our MBCC is to pair chefs with food and equipment to challenge our competitors to step out of their cooking comfort zone. Four chef compete for bragging rights and prize money with the winner advancing to our Chefs Dinner Competition in January 2013.
For vendors, this is an opportunity to get your products in front of chefs to use as part of the mystery basket mandatory ingredients and for general ingredients to use in their dishes. This give our organization a chance to play with food and discover new products and whys to use those products as well.
As always, vendors are welcomed to display and sample products to the membership at every meeting. If you are not able to personally attend our competition yet would like your products to be available for our chefs, please make arrangements with Madonna prior to the meeting.
Marketing tip: Take pictures and share them with us. Our Facebook page gets the highest views with pictures and encourage that you take lot's of them. Creating product activity at our meetings gives vendors another form of support through word of mouth marketing. We've all heard of a gapers delay, that's when you slow down to see what's causing the delay. The same thing happens with sharing information and the more interesting the better.
When you share products and information with us, we share that with our membership and friends so let's give them something to talk about.

*Example: Proteins, Starches, Vegetables, Flavor.
Items for the pantry they can use to complete the dishes.
*Dry items can be used for our next competition or taken home with the competitors.
*Refrigerator and frozen items are offered to the competitors.
